Brands like Deliveroo, Amazon and UberEats have seen demand soar in the pandemic, and now their dependence on so-called gig workers is under scrutiny again, as workers demand more rights. Reporter Morland Sanders speaks to those at the heart of the gig economy and hears shocking evidence of safety beaches, low pay and dangerous pressures.
